On Monday 29 August 2022, MEPs from all pro-European political groups presented and discussed a proposal for a new manifesto with Federalists on the island of Ventotene. In plenary hall of the City Council of Ventotene took place the debate on a proposal for a Manifesto for a Federal Europe: Political, Social and Ecological. This debate was entitled as “The legacy of the Ventotene Manifesto and the prospects of federalism in Europe and the world in the new global framework”.
In this event took the floor the Mayor of Ventotene Carmine Caputo, the Spinelli Group President Daniel Freund, the Board Members Domènec Ruiz Devesa, Guy Verhofstadt, Brando Benifei, and Helmut Scholz, the Spinelli Group Members Thijs Reuten and Alin Mituta. The event was moderated by Stefano Castagnoli (MFE Italy President) and have also intervened Pier Virgilio Dastoli, President of the European Movement Italy and the European federalists activists Luisa Trumellini (UEF Executive Board) and Antonio Argenziano (Young European Federalists President).
